Far be it for me to mock someone else’s typos, considering all the ones I make, but this one struck me as funny.<\/p>\n

Today’s Burlington Free Press, Howard Dean’s hometown paper, had a short item about a typo in this month’s issue of Vogue.<\/p>\n

Apparently, in a profile of Dean, Vogue describes the former governor and his family as “flatliners, part of the latte-drinking, Volvo-driving legions lured by the small-town atmosphere, natural beauty, and lack of crime.”<\/p>\n

“Flatliners”? I’m pretty sure Vogue meant “flatlanders.” After all, a “flatliner” is a dead person.<\/p>\n

Vermonters call out-of-towners “flatlanders” — a fun though not-entirely-complimentary description.<\/p>\n

Assuming Vogue wasn’t describing the Deans as literally without a pulse, this should be good for a chuckle at Dean campaign headquarters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
