The Democrats want to give our enemies a timetable. Never in history of war has a retreating army been asked to give a timetable.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m for victory,&#8221; Giuliani said. Democrats, he added, are &#8220;living in a world where they refuse to admit the existence of Islamic terrorism.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>First, Giuliani&#8217;s tangential relationship with the truth is going to cause him some political headaches one of these days. Dems don&#8217;t doubt the &#8220;existence of Islamic terrorism,&#8221; they think Bush&#8217;s approach to combating terrorism is reckless and ineffective.<\/p>\n<p>Second, &#8220;losers&#8221;? Giuliani thinks Americans who disapprove of the war and want to get the troops out of Iraq are &#8220;losers&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t worked on a campaign in a few years, but the last time I checked, insulting two-thirds of the electorate is generally a poor political strategy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t think Giuliani has thought this one through.
