If GOP primary voters hear about this and believe it, Giuliani&#8217;s electability argument is no longer viable.<\/p>\n<p>* Hillary Clinton has a <a href=\"http:\/\/hillaryclinton.com\/video\/58.aspx\">powerful new TV ad<\/a>, which utilizes images from Ground Zero. It&#8217;s a clear reminder that Giuliani may claim 9\/11 as his own, but the junior senator from New York isn&#8217;t going to let him.<\/p>\n<p>* Speaking of Hillary, Newsweek&#8217;s Howard Fineman had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/21130696\/site\/newsweek\/\">a piece<\/a> yesterday speculating on Clinton&#8217;s running mates &#8212; more than three months before a single vote has been cast.<\/p>\n<p>* Barack Obama has a solid <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ag8gOXZulXg\">new ad<\/a> of his own, featuring retired Air Force General Merrill McPeak, who served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the first Gulf War.<\/p>\n<p>* Mitt Romney hit Giuliani pretty hard yesterday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/nationworld\/nation\/la-na-gop5oct05,1,7300133.story?coll=la-headlines-nation\">on taxes<\/a>, telling a New Hampshire audience that the former NYC mayor was wrong to oppose a presidential line-item veto, wrong to oppose a no-new-taxes pledge, and wrong to support a commuter tax on those who worked in NYC but lived elsewhere.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n* In New Mexico&#8217;s open Senate race, Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/thecrypt\/1007\/Report_Tom_Udall_not_running_for_New_Mexico_Senate_seat.html\">Tom Udall<\/a> (D-N.M.) is not running and Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/leading-the-news\/wilson-to-seek-domenicis-seat-2007-10-04.html\">Heather Wilson<\/a> (R-N.M.) is.<\/p>\n<p>* In Minnesota, Al Franken (D) <a href=\"http:\/\/mnpublius.com\/2007\/10\/nfw-franken-outraises-coleman-despite-bush-fundraiser\/\">raised more money<\/a> than incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman (R) in the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p>* In New Hampshire, a new poll shows former Governor Jeanne Shaheen (D) <a href=\"http:\/\/tpmelectioncentral.com\/2007\/10\/poll_shaheen_way_ahead_of_sununu.php\">leading<\/a> incumbent Sen. John Sununu (R), 54% to 38%.<\/p>\n<p>* And Rudy Giuliani, who brags about having considered the priesthood, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20071003\/ap_po\/giuliani_communion;_ylt=A0WTcUyn6gNHuEgBTRWs0NUE\">should be denied communion<\/a>, according to Roman Catholic Archbishop Raymond Burke, who cited the former mayor&#8217;s support for abortion rights.
