From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/articles\/A49803-2004Mar11.html\">AP today<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bush was to be among the first digging shovels of dirt at the groundbreaking for a new Sept. 11 memorial in East Meadow, N.Y., a Manhattan suburb on Long Island.<\/p>\n<p>The quarrel over the ads was shadowing Bush, as at least two groups announced plans to protest his visit.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, the group of politicians were making the five-minute trip to Bush&#8217;s fund-raiser. Bush has raised more than $160 million for his re-election and shows no sign of slowing down as he approaches his stated goal of $170 million.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Almost exactly two months ago, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2004\/ALLPOLITICS\/01\/15\/elec04.prez.bush.thursday\/index.html\">CNN<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/3966413\/\">MSNBC<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>About 400 protesters lined the street across from the King Center in Atlanta as President Bush laid a wreath at the tomb of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to commemorate the 75th birthday of slain civil rights leader Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>As Bush arrived, the crowd booed and chanted &#8220;Bush, go home!&#8221; He placed a wreath on King&#8217;s grave before heading to a $2,000-a-plate fund-raiser in Atlanta.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Visit a memorial, spark a protest, attend a fundraiser.
