I think it’s great that people call me to see if I’m okay if I haven’t posted anything in a few hours. It’s flattering. In any event, here’s something I found funny.<\/p>\n

NBC and MSNBC advertised the heck out of Tom Brokaw’s “exclusive interview”<\/a> with Bush, which the networks broadcasted last week. As the commercials kept reminding us, it was the “first one-on-one interview” Bush had done since the war.<\/p>\n

The Washington Post’s TV column<\/a>, however, noted today that the show wasn’t exactly a hit with the viewing public.<\/p>\n

The interview “was beaten [in the ratings] Friday at 9 p.m. by a rerun of ABC’s ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’ featuring a dog that could jump a fence to fetch a ball and a dancing pooch in a tutu,” the Post noted.<\/p>\n

I know Bush’s approval ratings are still pretty high, but apparently not high enough to tear Americans away those home video repeats. I mean, really. We see Bush all the time, but how often can we watch poorly-recorded footage of dancing dogs?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
