That&#8217;s undoubtedly good news.<\/p>\n<p>But before <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/life\/2001-04-11-bush-speechwriter.htm\">Michael Gerson<\/a> starts writing Bush&#8217;s second inaugural, I thought I&#8217;d put today&#8217;s jobs numbers in a political perspective:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Number of months Bush promised we&#8217;d see job growth over 300,000 since July 2003: Nine<\/p>\n<p>Number of months it&#8217;s actually happened: One<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One good month does not a trend make.
