Remember all of those Republican complaints<\/a> about Kerry not spending enough time in the Senate during the campaign? I wonder how many of them will call on Bush to resign until after the election since he clearly doesn’t have any work to do<\/a> at his<\/i> office.<\/p>\n

If you’re looking for President Bush, don’t bother searching the White House.<\/p>\n

Bush has not spent a full day in Washington since Aug. 2 – roaming the country rather than staying in the Oval Office as he seeks a second term.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, he’ll break a 44-day, outside-the-Beltway streak to host a concert and reception at the White House in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. But not for long: He’s back on the road the next day.<\/p>\n

The number of Bush travel days has been in double digits every month since February. And Bush has spent just a handful of full days in Washington all summer long – just 10 since Memorial Day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, Bush spends more than 40 percent of his presidency<\/a> at one of his many family “retreats,” and when he’s not on vacation, he’s traveling around the nation visiting audiences of carefully selected sycophants<\/a>.<\/p>\n
