In case you needed a last minute jolt of motivation, consider that the College Republican National Committee has been stealing money from grandparents<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The College Republican National Committee has raised $6.3 million this year through an aggressive and misleading fund-raising campaign that collected money from senior citizens who thought they were giving to the election efforts of President Bush and other top Republicans. <\/p>\n

Many of the top donors were in their 80s and 90s. The donors wrote checks — sometimes hundreds and, in at least one case, totaling more than $100,000 — to groups with official sounding-names such as “Republican Headquarters 2004,” “Republican Elections Committee” and the “National Republican Campaign Fund.” <\/p>\n

But all of those groups, according to the small print on the letters, were simply projects of the College Republicans, who collected all of the checks. <\/p>\n

And little of the money went to election efforts.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What kind of people intentionally take advantage of the elderly, taking their life savings under false pretenses?<\/p>\n

I also can’t help but notice the similarities between the College Republicans<\/a> and Enron<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“They’re f——g taking all the money back from you guys?” complains an Enron employee on the tapes. “All the money you guys stole from those poor grandmothers in California?”<\/p>\n

“Yeah, grandma Millie, man”<\/p>\n

“Yeah, now she wants her f——g money back for all the power you’ve charged right up, jammed right up her a—— for f——g $250 a megawatt hour.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
