My friend Poppy tuned into Imus and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patridiots.com\/001241.html\">got the scoop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On Imus this morning, Joe Biden said that he is &#8220;proceeding as if I am running&#8221; for President, but that he had not made up his mind completely.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;ve always liked Biden a lot, so I&#8217;m pleased to hear he&#8217;s moving ahead with this.<\/p>\n<p>Some of you may recall that Biden&#8217;s first presidential run came in 1988, which may lead you to wonder if he&#8217;d be prohibitively old to run in 2008. He&#8217;s not. When he ran in the &#8217;88 primaries, he was just 46 years old, which is almost-ridiculously young for a presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p>How could he run so young? Well, he had already been in the Senate for 16 years before launching his &#8217;88 presidential campaign. (Those of you doing the math are right &#8212; Biden was just barely 30 when he was sworn in as a senator in 1972.) As a result, if Biden does run in &#8217;08, he&#8217;ll be 66.
