Russ Feingold (D). That may soon change.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report in <a href=\"http:\/\/wispolitics.com\/\">WisPolitics.com<\/a> last week, several party leaders &#8220;expect Feingold to do some national traveling and make some preliminary explorations&#8221; of the White House idea. They agree he&#8217;ll &#8220;have a plan and proceed accordingly.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Feingold backers seem to believe that the two-term senator could be particularly strong in Iowa (a nearby Midwestern state) and New Hampshire (which has a penchant for mavericks like Feingold).
