And having said that, all options are on the table.&#8221; &#8212; Bush, yesterday, at the European Union&#8217;s headquarters<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The very idea of an attack is ridiculous, except for the fact that we&#8217;re keeping it mind. Bush at his unintentionally-funny best.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/nationworld\/world\/la-fg-bush23feb23,0,2070986.story?coll=la-home-headlines\">LA Times report<\/a> on Bush&#8217;s appearance in Belgium noted that the president &#8220;elicited laughter&#8221; with the comment, an observation borne out by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/news\/releases\/2005\/02\/20050222-8.html\">official White House transcript<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, Bush is in Europe trying to strengthen ties he frayed during his first term, and in the process of trying to impress our allies, he&#8217;s saying things so dumb that people are literally laughing out loud at him.<\/p>\n<p>Diplomacy has never really been the president&#8217;s strong point.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all had a good laugh at the latest addition to the lengthy &#8220;Bushism&#8221; file yesterday. &#8220;[T]his notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous.
