Following up on last week’s item<\/a> about the awkward relationship between ABC\/Disney and TV preacher Pat Robertson, ABC Family has gone to greater lengths to distance itself from the crazed televangelist.<\/p>\n

The network has made it clear that it’s less-than-thrilled about being contractually obligated to keep this clown on the air. After the recent “assassination<\/a>” flap became an international incident, one could see ABC Family’s frustration steadily grow. At first, the network criticized<\/a> the individual broadcast.<\/p>\n

“ABC Family strongly rejects the views expressed by Pat Robertson in the Aug. 22 telecast of the program,” the statement said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Shortly thereafter, ABC Family said it disagrees with Robertson in general<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And now, ABC Family has added a disclaimer<\/a> to all 700 Club broadcasts.<\/p>\n

The cable channel ABC Family has changed the disclaimer at the end of its telecasts of the Christian Broadcasting Network’s (CBN) The 700 Club. The disclaimer now reads, “The preceding CBN telecast does not reflect the views of ABC Family.”<\/b> On August 26, ABC Family’s post-700 Club graphic read “The proceeding program was brought to you by CBN.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
