But as the WaPo&#8217;s Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2005\/12\/15\/AR2005121502378.html\">reported today<\/a>, towards the end of the conversation, Hume and the president began talking about less significant matters, including the president&#8217;s iPod. The chat had a certain Laurel-and-Hardy quality. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bush : Beach Boys, Beatles, let&#8217;s see, Alan Jackson, Alan Jackson, Alejandro, Alison Krauss, the Angels, the Archies, Aretha Franklin, the Beatles, Dan McLean. Remember him?<\/p>\n<p>Hume: Don McLean.<\/p>\n<p>Bush: I mean, Don McLean.<\/p>\n<p>Hume: Does &#8220;American Pie,&#8221; right?<\/p>\n<p>Bush: Great song.<\/p>\n<p>Hume: Yes, yes, great song.<\/p>\n<p>Unidentified male: . . . which ones do you play?<\/p>\n<p>Bush: All of these. I put it on shuffle. Dwight Yoakam. I&#8217;ve got the Shuffle, the, what is it called? The little.<\/p>\n<p>Hume: Shuffle.<\/p>\n<p>Bush: It looks like.<\/p>\n<p>Hume: The Shuffle.
