Things are fine between the Carpetbagger and me, and I&#8217;ve really appreciated the opportunity he so generously gave me to write posts for the past year or so. I also appreciate everyone who took the time to read what I wrote and react to it.<\/p>\n<p>The mundane truth is that lately I&#8217;ve been feeling overwhelmed with the demands of work and family life. (Yes, I really do want to spend more time with my family.) I believe I can no longer meet the obligation of regular Saturday postings. This does not necessarily mean you are through with me. Like most bloggers, I have a big ego, strong opinions and access to a computer. So I might pop off from time to time and send the Carpetbagger some thoughts that he can post or ignore at his discretion.<\/p>\n<p>I wish all of you a healthy and happy 2006. My final post is a Top Ten List, which I hope you enjoy:<\/p>\n<p><b>Top Ten Reasons Why I&#8217;ll No Longer Be Posting On The Carpetbagger Report<\/b><\/p>\n<p>10. Forced out because the Carpetbagger is insanely jealous of my boyish good looks.<\/p>\n<p>9. Plan to devote myself full time to maintaining lucrative chain of Eva Longoria fan sites.<\/p>\n<p>8. Got a better offer from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wilwheaton.net\/\">WilWheaton.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>7. Analytical Liberal and I plan to move to the Pacific Northwest and devote ourselves full time to solving the mystery of the sasquatch.<\/p>\n<p>6. The Nation is about to publish an article exposing my secret identity; turns out I&#8217;m Scooter Libby.<\/p>\n<p>5. Harriet Myers. She WILL be mine.<\/p>\n<p>4. Need time off to check out this great business proposal I got via e-mail from two guys in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>3. Really want to get back into macram\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>2. Can no longer deal with the shame of my inability to make cool <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com\/archives\/5094.html\">charts<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com\/archives\/5075.html\">graphs<\/a> like Ed Stephan.<\/p>\n<p>And the number one reason why I&#8217;ll no longer be posting on The Carpetbagger Report:<\/p>\n<p>1.
