* In Tennessee, the latest Rasmussen poll<\/a> shows Rep. Harold Ford (D) surging against Chattanooga Mayor Bob Corker (R), with the Dem now up by five, 48% to 43%. Ford has an edge with unaffiliated voters and leads by a whopping 70% to 23% among moderates. A month ago, Ford trailed by one.<\/p>\n * Speaking of Tennessee, the gubernatorial race isn’t nearly as interesting. Democratic Governor Bredesen now buries Republican state Senator Jim Bryson in the latest Rasmussen poll<\/a>, 63% to 28%. It’s worse for Bryson now than a month ago, when Bredesen led by “only” 27 points.<\/p>\n * In Virginia, most polls show the closely-watched Senate race neck-and-neck, but a new Rasmussen poll<\/a> shows Sen. George Allen (R) leading Jim Webb (D), 49% to 43%. For what it’s worth, that’s a slight improvement for Webb over last month’s Rasmussen poll.<\/p>\n * Arkansas’ gubernatorial race appears pretty one-sided<\/a> at this point, with state Attorney General Mike Beebe (D) enjoying a double-digit lead over former Rep. Asa Hutchinson (R), 53% to 35%.<\/p>\n
