It doesn’t pull any punches.<\/p>\n * The 16-year-old Louisiana kid, whose emails sparked the Foley scandal, is going through a very tough time right now, including facing personal threats<\/a>.<\/p>\n * A pre-emptive lawsuit challenging the habeas provisions of Bush’s new detainee\/torture law was filed yesterday<\/a> at a federal court in Washington. I’m glad that didn’t take too long.<\/p>\n * Kim Jung Il wants another nuclear test<\/a>. His last provocative move, in July, didn’t go too well.<\/p>\n * Foley interrupted a vote on the floor<\/a> of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page. Wow.<\/p>\n * Today’s vote<\/a> from the Republican-dominated National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) seems like a major step backwards on union protections.<\/p>\n * Remember Bernie Kerik? He’s facing another federal criminal investigation<\/a>. Remember when Bush thought, fairly recently, that Kerik was the most qualified person in America to head the Department of Homeland Security? * A special interest group in Pennsylvania is going to spend $1 million to try and “soften<\/a>” Rick Santorum’s image with women voters. (thanks to SKNM for the tip)<\/p>\n * As far as Santorum is concerned, the ’90s economy was awful<\/a>. The poor guy just isn’t very smart.<\/p>\n * I’m glad I’m not<\/a> the<\/a> only<\/a> one who’s impressed with “Veronica Mars,” the season premier of which will air tonight.
