John Hostettler (R) is up against challenger Brad Ellsworth (D); in the 2nd, Rep. Chris Chocola (R) is facing challenger Joe Donnelly (D). If Dems are going to take back the House, these are two races that should be Dem pick-ups.<\/p>\n<p>As of right now, Ellsworth appears to be cruising to victory and Donnelly is up by 20 points with about a quarter of pricincts reporting. That&#8217;s clearly reassuring.<\/p>\n<p>In other news:<\/p>\n<p>* Sens. Nelson (D-Fla.), Kennedy (D-Mass.), Lott (R-Miss.), and Snowe (R-Maine) have all been declared winners, surpisng absolutely no one.<\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/2006\/11\/07\/thinkfast-election-day-edition\/\">TP noticed<\/a> an interesting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/usnews\/politics\/election_result_2006\/2006\/11\/fox_news_panel_a_good_democrat.htm\">tidbit<\/a> from US News &#038; World Report: &#8220;Fifty-seven percent of late deciders, the Fox exit polls show, are breaking for the Democrats, and 39 percent for Republicans.
