Statement from Kerry Campaign Manager Mary Beth Cahill on Ohio: Boston, MA – Kerry-Edwards campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill released the following statement: “The vote count in Ohio has not been completed. There are more than 250,000 remaining votes to be counted. We believe when they are, John Kerry will win Ohio.” He better.
CNN and C-SPAN have said Kerry will win New Hampshire, making it the only state, thus far, to change from its 2000 outcome. It also means a clean sweap of the northeast for Kerry, not that it helps much.
NBC and FNC have called Ohio for Bush. With Alaska’s 3 EVs, that’s 269.
