Final Thought

Posted by Morbo

Morbo has enjoyed stepping in for Carpetbagger today. I’d like to finish with one last post, admittedly off topic.

Has anyone else noticed how dangerous handymen are? Nearly every day you can go on Nexis and find stories like this Nov. 23 AP dispatch from Nevada:

“A handyman who beat an 80-year-old Gardnerville man with a fireplace poker and robbed him of $38 has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

“Dylan Thomas Ravel, 29, must serve at least eight years in prison under the sentence handed down Monday by Douglas District Court Judge Michael Gibbons on a charge of robbery.”

These handymen are very scary. They kill. They rob. They beat people. The “itinerate” ones seem especially violent.

OK, so this is a topic for another blog. Folks, I’m just telling you that I’ve noticed this. So do watch who gets in to your home. Let’s be careful out there. Handymen lurk — and remember, they have power tools.
