Housekeeping notes

Before getting into today’s news, I’d like to take a moment to apologize for the technical difficulties the site has been experiencing lately. I’m aware of the sporadic outages and breakdowns, particularly this week, and I appreciate readers’ patience in dealing with the problems.

I’m pleased to report that the site changed servers last night and service should be vastly improved from now on. My technical team (i.e., Mrs. Carpetbagger) is still working out a few bugs — the archives section isn’t quite right — but we’ll get that straightened out shortly. If you notice other problems, be sure to let me know.

Also, as you may notice with the box to the left, I am now accepting advertising on the site. If you or someone you know is interested, please remember that I have many wonderful readers who would enjoy learning more about your service and/or product.

And now, back to the news…

Thanks to you Mr. and Mrs. Carpetbagger for working so hard to keep TCR functioning and moving forward. You both create a mean blog and your readers can wait while you take a pit stop. Get those hoses and wrenches out of the way and take off.

  • A thousand thanks to the Carpetbaggers. May your server be reliable and your software defect free! Back to the news indeed.
