We’ve added a few features here at The Carpetbagger Report that I wanted to point out.
First, over to the left, there’s a new “Carpetbagger Recommends” button. I’ve set up an account through Amazon.com where I recommend certain books that I think you, The Carpetbagger Report reader, may enjoy. Is this crass commercialism? Of course. Is it also a way to promote worthwhile political books while generating a little money for me through a small commission? Yes.
By the way, if you’re an Amazon customer and plan to buy stuff there anyway, why not go there through The Carpetbagger Report to help out the site? Even if you don’t buy one of the items I’m promoting, it’ll still lend me a hand.
On a similarly tactless marketing note, I’ve also added an Amazon button that allows my wonderful, intelligent, and strikingly good-looking readers to donate to The Carpetbagger Report. If you want. No pressure. It’s up to you. No big whoop, either way.
Yes, you can use your credit card. Yes, it’s secure. No, I won’t start sending you annoying and hyperbolic fundraising letters.
Thank you for your attention. Now back to the news…
