Housekeeping notes

A few quick housekeeping notes:

* The political round-up, usually posted at noon, is on temporary hiatus. It’ll return soon.

* Starting today, I’ll be co-writing a new feature on Salon’s Daou Report called “The Bottom Line,” which will help summarize different angles to the big story of the day. It’ll be online around 1pm every weekday.

* Many thanks to everyone who has nominated The Carpetbagger Report in the Koufax Awards. Wampum is still accepting nominations, so be sure to head over and let your voice be heard. (Remember, only one vote per person per round.)

And now, back to the news….

what about the contact info for leads? it’s been down for a while.

  • It’ll be online around 1pm every weekday.

East coast or West coast time?

thanks and most importantly, Congrats on the Salon gig!

  • East coast or West coast time?

Oh, right. It’s 1pm eastern. If you’re on the east coast, it’s something you can enjoy over lunch. If you’re out west, it’s a helpful way to start your day!

    Congrats on the Salon gig!

Thanks for all the support. I really appreciate it.

  • Please don’t stop your lunch time roundup.

I promise to bring it back. A lot of the information for it comes from National Journal, Roll Call, and The Note, none of which are publishing over the holidays, so it’s a little trickier. But rest assured, it’ll be back.

  • Yes, congrats on Salon. Your selection of topics, writing and thinking are among the very, very best. I, too, will go vote on Koufax but I have to say I’ll rue the day when you get as big as Kos, which I fear you will. I like the quality and quantity of the Carpetbaggers who hang out here–and, particularly, the absence of Gasbaggers. As a very early lurker here, I have to say I hope you keep this format and the more intimate feeling of The Carpetbagger. Guess you could call me a conservative progressive…
