The networks are clearly gun shy after 2000. They’re just not touching the big battlegrounds that are still obviously competitive. A guess one fiasco was enough to make them cautious, which is a good thing.
Nebraska and Utah have just been called for, you guessed it, Bush. As of now: Bush 176, Kerry 112, which is just about where everyone, on both sides, assumed we’d be at this point. Nothing whatsoever has happened up until now that gives us a hint of who’s going to win. I’m hoping good things come to those who hit “refresh” every few seconds…
By the way, there are countless sites with EV maps out there, but I’m particularly fond of the C-SPAN one because if you “hover” of the states, it’ll give you vote totals so far. Helpful stuff, in case you were interested.
