Be nice to the subs

I’m going to be away from my computer today and tomorrow, so I won’t be able to post anything. I have, however, arranged for some guest posters: Zoe Kentucky from Demagogue, Michael J.W. Stickings from The Reaction, and Thomas McKelvey Cleaver from That’s Another Fine Mess.

One is on the east coast, one is on the west coast, and the other is in central Canada, so readers should be able to find words of wisdom throughout the day.

Moreover, weekend readers may be interested to know that Saturday-contributor Morbo will also be away this week, but, thankfully, Carpetbagger regular Ed Stephan has agreed to fill in for him.

And with that, I’m off. Everyone play nice while I’m away.

Kentucky, Stickings and Cleaver. Now that would make a great name for a law firm.

  • Dammit! I got passed up again! First Josh Marshall gives me the snub on his guest blogger spot, and now this. Sure, I don’t even have time to post on my own blog regularly, and that when I do, each post rambles on over more space than a day’s worth of the Carpetbagger’s posts. Or that I don’t even do this kind of topical newsie-style blogging; preferring the big picture type of stuff, which is generally at least a few weeks, if not years out of date by the time I’m done typing it.

But still, I’ve been a regular enough reader here for a long time and Carpetbagger really owes me for that. Maybe it’s about time I set-up an anti-Carpetbagger site, saying what a big doody-head he is and whatnot. I could call it The Carpetdoody Report, and draw little piles of poop on everything he writes. That’d show him. That would show all of you!!!

  • I knew that Bush going on vacation for 5 weeks would set a bad example for the rest of us, now all my favorite bloggers have decided to go on vacation too. Oh heavens me, the entire country is turning French on me.
