The Democratic National Committee has been learning for months — mainly by watching the Dean campaign — that the Internet can be a critical tool in political communications, fundraising, and activism.
The DNC just didn’t seem to know what to do about it.
The party took a huge step in the right direction a few days ago by launching its own blog. They even came up with a clever name for it.

So far, so good. Looks like it’s been put together well and has some strong content. Kicking Ass even has an excellent blog roll featuring all of the left’s heaviest hitters of bloggers.
I think this is the right move at the right time. The DNC can issue press releases ten times a day, but having a blog will have a far more significant impact in getting the Dem message to people who are anxious to hear it.
