Don’t forget to watch tonight’s debate

The last of six official DNC presidential debates will be tonight in New Hampshire at 7pm Eastern. C-SPAN will be covering the event live on TV and streaming video of the debate online.

ABC will also be airing most of the debate on tonight’s episode of Nightline, which starts at 11:30 Eastern.

I wonder if anyone will bring up that Al Gore endorsement…

But seriously. Though no actual voters will be able to cast an actual vote for another five weeks, tonight’s debate may be important.

It will be the last nationally televised forum for all nine of the candidates. If any of Dean’s Dem rivals have been holding onto some key oppo dirt and have been waiting for just the right moment to share it with the world, tonight might be a good time to throw it out there.

So far, most of the debates have been pretty uneventful, certainly nothing that has changed the race in any meaningful way. Dean hasn’t excelled in the other debates, but he hasn’t performed poorly, either. For the rest of the field, the status quo won’t be good enough tonight. If they’re going to stop Dean’s momentum, they need to start immediately or it will be too late.
