Following up on an item Carpetbagger posted earlier this week, Morbo would like to offer additional insights about Alabama Judge Ashley McKathan of Covington County, who showed up in court Dec. 13 with a judicial robe that had the Ten Commandments stitched onto it.
Through my sources in Alabama, which are voluminous, I have learned that, inspired by former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, state judges there are competing in a contest to see who can come up with the best idea for demeaning and belittling an important religious text that millions of people all over the world hold sacred.
Judge McKathan’s stunt with the robes made him look like a lock, but hold your horses! Word has just come in that another Alabama judge is having the Ten Commandments tattooed on his butt — five on each side! Look for this “cheeky” upstart to really shake things up.
