High Court

There was a lot of talk yesterday about the issue of medical marijuana being decided by the Supreme Court. On CNN last night, bestselling author, Dr. Andrew Weil weighed in on the medical evidence:

BROWN: In and of itself, do you believe marijuana is an especially harmful drug?

WEIL: No.

In purely medical terms, physical terms, I think it’s one of the least harmful drugs that we know of, and much less harmful than most drugs used in medicine, and much, much less harmful than the recreational drugs that we have made legal in this country, especially alcohol and tobacco.

This confirms what comedian Bill Maher has said, that after years of study, experts have discovered that marijuana “makes you eat cookie dough.” Even if it does have some ill effects, why go to such lengths to deny it to cancer patients? If only it caused erections, then the Supreme Court would surely approve.
