Housekeeping notes

A few items for your consideration:

First, following up on a point I raised briefly last week, I wrote a full-length article for AlterNet on the “gap” between the launch of the Plame investigation and the notice given to White House staff to preserve relevant documents. Take a look.

Second, I neglected to mention that I’m now a contributor to the Huffington Post’s blog. My first item was last week.

And third, I just thought I’d mention that January was the best month The Carpetbagger Report has had with regards to unique visitors and page views. Many thanks to all of you.

And now, back to the news….

This site is awesome. It will only gain pace and recieve greater recognition!
Bravo!
As for the WH and it’s favourable treatment of the Repugnicans…….
it’s SOP. The ends always justify the means to those folk.

That would be my fault. I’ve been hitting F5 a lot more waiting for replies to my comments. Sorry. 😀

  • I’ve been hitting F5 a lot more waiting for replies to my comments.

I know you’re kidding, but just so readers know, I’m pretty sure traffic stats don’t work this way. As I understand it, the “hit” only registers once an hour from an individual IP address. FYI.

  • Carpetbagger:

That’s great news, and just in time for the 3rd anniversary. Considering how bad the Republicans have been, the tone of your writing is really fairly even-handed. Another thing that impresses me is how this site remains one of the most troll-free blogs that I read.

Anyhow, best wishes for your continued success.

  • Good Morning Mr. CB! Great to hear that TCR is gathering the increased appreciation that it deserves. Congratulations on the Alternet and HuffPo gigs and, of course, the ever lengthening threads at TCR. The proof is in the reading. Tasty stuff at TCR.

  • I can’t think of a better place to draw the attention of the dark eye of Bush’s security goblins while Freudo creeps ever closer to Mount Doom.

  • Congraulations Mr. Carpetbagger. You certainly deserve the wider recognition. I’ve noticed too that the comment threads here are getting longer, especially in terms of number of comments. Always a good sign of a lively, successful blog. And, to echo a previous commenter, may The Carpetbagger Report stay troll free!

  • Here, here, CB!! Cheers and kudos all justly deserved. And may I say that one of the many things I’ve always appreciated about TCR is its easy readability. A clean layout with large fonts. I love it.

There are many worthy blogs out there, but too many of them think tiny letters and a bunch of frou-frou that clogs up the screen is the way to go. Not so! Give me the simple elegance of The Carpetbagger Report any day.

And best regards to Mrs. Carpetbagger, whom we also hold in the highest esteem for her invaluable contributions. 🙂

  • Best to you and Mrs CB. Keep up the great work–just don’t forget where it all started, right here at the CB Report.
