Housekeeping notes

A few quick housekeeping notes:

* In addition to my work here and at the Daou Report, I’ve also begun contributing to The American Prospect’s Midterm Madness blog, which is focused exclusively on the 2006 election cycle.

* Based on the suggestions of several readers, we (and by “we,” I mean “Mrs. Carpetbagger”) added several new techie links at the bottom of the blogroll to help with bookmarks, RSS feeds, and various subscription services. I hope readers find this helpful. (If we missed any services that you use and/or prefer, feel free to let me know.)

* As for the Koufax Awards, many thanks to all of you who’ve taken the time to vote for The Carpetbagger Report. Voting for this round ends Sunday night, March 12th, at 11:59 pm. Those of you who have not yet voted can still do so — and at the risk of sounding pushy, I’d sure appreciate it.

The Carpetbagger Report has been nominated in four categories.

* Best Blog

* Best Writing

* Best Post (for this post)

* Best Series (for my coverage of the Denver Three)

To vote, follow the above links. Go to the very bottom, where it says “Post a comment.” Type in your name and email address in the appropriate fields, and in the Comments box, type in the name of the blog you wish to vote for. Then press the “Post” button below.

Voters can cast one vote per person per category. (I appreciate enthusiastic support, but Koufax Award organizers can see when someone votes from the same computer twice.) You can, however, vote in as many of the 15 categories as you’d like.

And now, back to the news….

* In addition to my work here and at the Daou Report, I’ve also begun contributing to The American Prospect’s Midterm Madness blog, which is focused exclusively on the 2006 election cycle.

How many blogs do you work for now? 10?

  • How many blogs do you work for now? 10?

    No, four. Here, Daou, Huffington Post, and now the Prospect’s campaign blog. I’m just a writer looking for an audience.

    Done (voting).

    Thanks, hark. I appreciate it.

  • Are we missing anything by not reading your work at the other two blogs or are most things essentially cross posts?

  • Are we missing anything by not reading your work at the other two blogs or are most things essentially cross posts?

    That’s a great question. The answer is, not really. When I do Huffington Post pieces, they’re generally extended-length mini-articles on issues I’ve addressed here. On Midterm Madness posts, I’ve been taking items from my daily round-up of campaign news and elaborating with additional detail.

    I can’t imagine ever posting something elsewhere that I haven’t already addressed here. Thanks for asking.

  • Thank you so much for adding RSS feeds! I am a newcomer to feeds but it is making my life and effort to stay informed sooo much easier. I no longer read anything on a daily basis unless it has a feed. You were the last one left on my wish list. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
