Inhofe gets one right

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) is a constant source of bizarre and inexplicable comments, but this may be his greatest hit yet.

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) got the crowd cheering early in the day. “I have been called — my kids are all aware of this — dumb, crazy man, science abuser, Holocaust denier, villain of the month, hate-filled, warmonger, Neanderthal, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun,” he announced. “And I can just tell you that I wear some of those titles proudly.”

Now, there were 10 labels in that sentence, and Inhofe embraces “some” of them. Care to guess which ones?

He left out asshole. Don’t the religious righties realize that if there were a god they’d all be hung up by their thumbs by now?

  • given that he’s the very definition of what is meant by the term “dumb Okie” (not a slam on others from OK reading here, but all stereotypes come from at least one actual source and he’s it), and that he’s a Republican, I am sure he embraces:

Neanderthal, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun

Those idiots all love to think they’re “strong” like Genghis and Attila, and they take “Neanderthal” as a badge of honor back at Democrats.

Of course, the truth is, he’s all of the other things.

  • I think he knows that he is NOT a historical figure from the past, so that eliminates at least two pronouns.
The others, I am sure he wears them proudly with his pointy white hat.

  • Saying he was proud to be called a Neanderthal would be quite Inhoffian. Neanderthals being early homids that lived 130,000 years ago and all.

  • He’s obviously a proud denouncer of science.

Where did that ‘Holocaust denier’ insult come from?

  • He left out mentally unstable and an embarrassment to the human race. Ignorance: the new badge of honor.

  • His coats of arms is the peacock — a screachy, stupid creature and proud of it.

  • I read recently that Neanderthals had bigger brains, were more intelligent and interbred with Cro-Magnons quite late in time. So Inhofe is too stupid to even be a Neanderthal.

  • Don’t know if you were responding to my post Dale, but my point was that it would be funny if Inhofe said he was proud to be called a Neanderthal because they were a species of hominids that lived well before their “creation scientists” tell them that god created the earth (6000 years ago?). That’s why it’s so Inhoffianly stupid. He might not even know that he tacitly accepts the real science that his religious wingnut constituents deny. OTOH, of course, we have no idea which insult he was referring to. I just thought it would be funny if that was one that he was proud of.

  • I’d give him all of those labels, except for Villain Of The Month. Inhofe could qualify for an honorary mention of it, though.

  • Imhofe, not unlike the circus clown Ann Coulter, thrives on opportunism and stirring up the ever compliant media. Anyone with even a vestige of brain knows what he is. The real question is what does it say about all the voters of Oklahoma who elected this textbook example of a dumb asshole to the Senate, the world’s most exclusive club?

    Imhofe justifies eugenics.

  • His coats of arms is the peacock — a screachy, stupid creature and proud of it.

You insult peacocks, Sir or Madam.

Somebody needs to take that boy out back and beat the shit out of him…oops, sorry, that’s a Imhofe tactic.
