Jesus doesn’t want you to look at these disgusting, sickening photos

I think I’m on to the Rev. Donald Wildmon. The founder of the American Family Association isn’t really interested in stopping pornography. Rather, he’s presiding over a giant “porn-for-fundamentalists” empire in Tupelo, Miss.

Consider his recent bulletin expressing outrage and disgust over an “explicit, sickening” homosexual scene that aired on a program called “Dirt” on the F/X Channel. After ranting about the vileness of the scene, Wildmon helpfully provided a link to it on You Tube — thus ensuring that every one of his outraged legions would go watch it and get a cheap thrill.

Like all good porn kings, Wildmon knows how to hype his product. “Because it is so explicit, I could not even include a description of it here,” hyperventilated Wildmon. “I hope you will simply trust me. However, if you want to read our review of the scene, or to see the video of the scene, click here. Be forewarned, it is extremely graphic.”

I can just hear the neo-Puritans now: “Well, Rev. Don says it’s extremely graphic — but I guess I’d better take a look so I’m fully prepared to fight Satan and all of his works.”

Wildmon has spent the last 30 years ferreting out smut wherever he can find it. After checking to make sure the offensive material really is naughty, he promptly sends out an alert — directing his legions right to the best stuff. (“I nearly died when I saw the latest issue of ‘Down and Dirty College Sluts’! On page 7, there’s a photo of two young women on top of a desk — and you won’t BELIEVE what they are doing with that jar of raspberry preserves! Click here for the DISGUSTING photos — but be warned they are TRULY SHOCKING and REALLY, REALLY VILE!!! Don’t click unless you are prepared to see THE MOST PERVERTED PHOTOS OF COLLEGE-GIRL SLUTS EVER!”)

I get junk like this in my spam folder all of the time — only it comes from guys with names like “Ricco” operating out of Belarus.

What I’d like to know is, why hasn’t the Justice Department shut down Wildmon’s outfit? Wildmon and his fans may say they are doing “research,” but as far as I can tell, his group is nothing but a porn site for fundamentalists operating under the cover of a religious ministry.

  • I think AFA/TVC/etc. and the Concerned Women for America must have the best orgies together.

    Someone ought to do a Borat on them and show up at a meeting/office expecting riotous group sex, because god knows that’s all they talk about. Plenty of hot same-sex action, too, apparently, given the amount of time they spend obsessing about it.

  • Evil people view this stuff with prurient intent, righteous people view this stuff to ascertain how evil the people who view it really are. Of course righteous people need to view it a number of times to be truly struck with the evilness of it.

    That line might have worked on Wildmon’s mom when he was busted with a copy of Penthouse, but I’m merely amused with the vigor of his “research.”

  • I never cease to be amazed by how the “easily offended” go out of their way to find opportunities to be easily offended. As a nice church-going boy (really, he’s even evangelical!) said in comment to another thread at another site on this topic, “It’s their hobby.” That explains it as well as anything I’ve ever been able to come up with.

  • are KWA, Idiocracy, and all of our other incoherent but oddly identical sounding white supremacist cut-and-paste trolls in this past week with rotating user names coming from the same IP address or through a common local connection or local ISP? Steve, if you’ve been blacklisting the specific e-mail address or specific inbound address is there anyway to IP block more broadly to neuter ’em?

  • Wildmon seems to suffer from denial-gratification, a sympton of which allows its suffer license to do anything without sustaining any self-perceived consequences. As I victimize you, a thead of it goes, I will feign victim status. As I condemn you, another goes, I will do that which I condemn. There are all sorts of denial-gratification threads out there. Just look around. An easy example would be someone having to apologize to another for calling him an asshole on company time, only to write out the apology for all to see, “Sorry Charlie I called you an ASSHOLE!” And then when the apolgy is not accepted, the asshole was one all along.   • It has no sex but frustration is the main point…check out this S&M snuff video; pure EVIL with all the graphic violent torture. It gets real up close and sick to see skin being ripped away from naked flesh over and over and over again under the auspice of homosexuals. I wish the Rev Donald would have reviewed this extremely graphic S&M snuff film before me and my friends saw it. Maybe he could give a heads up to other evangelicals before this homosexual violent rage becomes a movement.   • Who was it who defined Puritanism as staying awake nights worrying that someone, somewhere might be having fun?

    Amazing what god-fearing X-tians like the Rev. Wildmon consider pornographic. I don’t recall reading anywhere in the New Testament (or Old for that matter) that exploiting gullible people is good.

    FWIW, Jonathan and David seem to have “got it on” rather seriously (1 Samuel ). And then there’s John, the disciple Jesus loved (John 13:23; 19:26; 21:7; 21:20).

  • What’s interesting to me is that Fundies aren’t recognizing the force that’s propelling this recent wave of gay related material in the movies and on tv.

    Hollywood and tv media companies are waking up to the fact that women like the ghey sexxor. A lot.

    And every christian girl who hides her boy’s love stash from her fundie parents is one more blow felled against the anti-gay crowd. Slowly their power-base, christian women _themselves_, will be eroded out from under them.
