Now there’s a sentiment I can endorse wholeheartedly

The Washington Post had an interesting article today about how the top Dem presidential candidates who serve in Congress — Kerry, Edwards, Lieberman, and Gephardt — all voted the “wrong” way on the Iraq war resolution, the USA Patriot Act, and Bush’s so-called No Child Left Behind proposal.

Nevertheless, all four are now criticizing Bush for his failures in the war, protecting civil liberties, and education policies. As the article noted, it’s tricky to try and pull off.

In response, Howard Dean said, “You can’t be on both sides of an issue. That kills us.”

I couldn’t agree more.
