ABC News is reporting that Edith Clement is not the president’s choice and will not be nominated this evening.
A giant bluff? Head-fake? Has the media establishment been thrown off track on the Supreme Court again?

Redstate.org posted earlier today about a frenzy of rumors that it was Edith Jones, not Edith Clement. Disturbing if true–she’s been billed as a “female Scalia”.
It’s just ABC News “pulling” some MSM (mainstream media) eyeball-grabbing bullshit.
Trapper John over at Kos has an interesting quote from The Note about Abu Gonzales rushing back to DC today. Maybe Bush us going with his infallible gut and picking a crony after all.
Inside sources claim that Bush is actually going to nominate Edith Bunker from “All In The Family.” Gonzales is rushing back to Washington in a desperate race against time to tell him that the show was cancelled years ago. Bush’s secondary choice to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court, Gomer Pyle, USMC, has reportedly been called back to active service in Iraq and is also currently unavailable. Bummer.
Since our system is already a giant show, why not just put on the Cookie Monster or Count Von Count.
BTW, they would be the first huggable justices in a long time.
