The only problem with the brilliant news parodies at The Onion is that their remarkably talented writers don’t seem to understand that real life is just as bad, if not worse, than their exaggerated caricatures.
As The American Prospect’s Nick Confessore noted this afternoon, The Onion probably didn’t know how right it was just days ago.
