The terrific folks at Wampum are now accepting nominations for the all-important 2005 Koufax Awards, the annual honors for blogs that Atrios once accurately described as “the only awards that matter.”
There are a total of 15 categories, and if readers were so inclined, you can nominate The Carpetbagger Report in a few of them. Here’s what to do:
* Go to Wampum’s nomination page.
* Go to the very bottom, where it says “Post a comment.” Type in your first name and email address in the appropriate fields, and in the Comments box, type in the name of the blog you wish to vote for and the category. (For example: you could type “Best Blog: The Carpetbagger Report”) Then press the “Post” button below. You can vote in as many categories as you want at one time. And in this opening nomination round, you can even vote for more than one blog in a category.
* For more on how this whole thing works, Dwight Meredith has a helpful Q&A.
There are a series of steps to the Koufax Awards’ process, and this is the initial stage where anyone can submit nominations. If I make it past this round in any category, I may ask for your vote again in few weeks.
One more thing, and this is important — only one vote per person per round. I appreciate enthusiastic support, but Wampum can see when someone votes from the same computer twice.
So head on over there and let your voice be heard. There are an astounding number of great blogs online, so even if you’re not inclined to vote for The Carpetbagger Report, it’s still worth taking a moment to support the blogs that deserve recognition.
